Who we are
“Dirty Drifters” was coined by founding member Doug Folsom. I guess Doug took WRC Driver Armin Schwartz’s words to heart when Armin told us, at the after party for the 2003 running of Rally Mexico in true DD spirit over a whole bunch of cocktails, “if you’re going to start a rally team you need to have a good name.”
Not a Drifting team as our name might imply, although various members may occasionally participate in such events, we're more like a crew of dedicated Motorsport Junkies. From parallel parking contests to 24-hour endurance races, you name it we’ve done it. A diverse group of varying ages, backgrounds, ethnicities, preferences in car manufacturers, racing disciplines and alcoholic beverages, we have no particular mission or end outcome to our crusade, just a shared unquenchable thirst for sleepless nights filled with gear oil-soaked agony only to absorb minutes of dusk light glory, if we’re lucky. Our goal is to leave our mark on the motorsport community wherever we go and to savor the next Champagne finish.
